Marjory Nazar site manager

Compassion is an important value for everyone to model, but it’s wonderful to see Evanston Summit’s site manager, Marjory Nazar, living it in her interactions with staff, residents and families. Every resident knows Marjory by name, and she tries to introduce herself to each potential resident. She makes herself available to residents and their families and tries to keep up with what is going on in their lives.

She uses her knowledge and organizational skills to make time for staff, residents and families. Her decisions reflect compassion to residents, families and staff.

Marjory demonstrates her empathy and caring by meeting privately with staff, residents and families to discuss successes and failures. She often compliments staff, thanks them for their work and celebrates their wins. She recognizes when her team needs support and reaches out on a personal level to offer her ear, love, understanding and support. She celebrates others’ wins and their lives’ great occasions.

When there are challenging situations at Evanston Summit like life-changing health issues or the passing of someone, she is the first person to offer her support. To show her love of residents and their families, she provides a memorial space, sends cards and flowers or offers sympathy or encouraging words in person.
