Geraldine Nebres, receptionist

It’s been said that you only get one chance to make a first impression. For people who enter St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital, that first impression is welcoming, friendly and respectful. That’s because the first face most people see is Geraldine, the receptionist, greeting everyone with a smile (under her mask).

Geraldine’s polite and calm demeanor leads to an always respectful rapport with residents, families and staff. She’s an understanding listener and works diligently to fulfill requests and answer questions. Should a difficult or confrontational situation arise, Geraldine’s calm head and respectful communication abilities usually diffuse the issue. And if she can’t, she knows how to find the right person to help.

Geraldine carries out her many duties with professionalism, focus and a good sense of humour. She enjoys wonderful working relationships with all staff. As a mentor to new staff, she is caring and knowledgeable. Geraldine provides excellent customer service to families, residents and the public – setting a warm tone of respect and friendliness that’s appreciated by everyone.
