Sandy Bilyk, clerk III

As the clerk for two very different departments at St. Mary’s Hospital, Sandy is the glue that holds them both together. In her busy position she deals with constant changes to workflow, service delivery and staff, but she always remains constant in her respectful and professional approach to colleagues and the public.

Every day, Sandy cares for both inpatient staff and outpatient staff. That means anticipating their needs, staying current with best practices and adjusting her day to deal with ever-changing priorities – all while completing her regular duties.

Sandy is often the first person everyone goes to with questions. She has an extremely through working knowledge of rehabilitation services that’s she’s willing to share with others, but if she does not have the answer, she will connect with the person who does and follow up promptly.

While often faced with competing demands from the teams she supports, Sandy still makes time to help other team members grow. She’s happy to share her expertise and facilitate opportunities to for staff to learn more about the administrative tasks so essential ro a well-run department.
